I know a bit more now.

I know a bit more what Rugby is about now.
Had a game today, tackled some people, missed tackling some people, ran after some people, got HIT on (as in the gay way) by some people, got called BLONDIE by some people (apparently I was the only blonde girl on the whole field).

Anyway, Rugby is actually about GETTING HURT. Well, some people might say it's about EVADING the getting-hurt-part. I just got hurt. lol

Well, the first thing that happened was that some chick put her elbow onto my throat/neck/whatever you wanna call it. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DO THAT. Well, unless the umpire has a brain fart and thinks it's actually a palm. I got shocked somehow, and yes it hurt a bit, but I was mostly freightened about being more hurt than I thought (as in that I was bleeding without knowing it), so my body started shaking and I cried a little bit. It was not really crying, it was more breathing out loudly and quickly and having my eyes fully open, holding my neck, having tears coming involuntarily from my eyes, walking back and forth, not knowing where I was supposed to be and asking "are you allowed to do that? are you allowed to do that??"

At a few other times, I tackled some girls and we both went down, and I guess I landed a bit badly and hit my head on the ground a bit. Felt a bit dizzy, kept going as usual.

Then, 2 min left of the game, I hurt myself again. An opponent is running towards me and I am going to stop her, whilst a team mate of mine is tackling her from behind. They both fall on top of me, obviously, since they had two body weights against mine and I didn't have as big of a momentum. was apparently a "good sandwhich". *lol*

I think the opponent's head went into my left knee...the knee that I sprained in 2005 (yeah, 3 years ago, almost on the dot). It is a bit weaker than the right one still, even though I keep training it and it has become WAY better than 3 years ago. So I was scared something serious happened to it again, and I yelled "F-CK, F-CK, F-CK, F-CK" so many times. *lol* I HATE that word, but I guess the adrenaline just splurted it out. :P The opponent's head was injured and she felt very dizzy.

The game kept going for a few seconds and then another team mate of mine got headbanged by yet another team mate, by accident of coruse, and her nose started bleeding SO BADLY. She's pretty tiny and I don't think she really knows what she's doing on the field. But pooooor girl, she was bleeding. And afterwards, she said; "um...is it Saturday today? I suspect so, because I am at a rugby game". So, that was probably some blow to the head...poor girl.

At least I got away with a minor knee injury. Probably a huuuge bruise on my neck as well.

It was fun. And I am going to keep doing it. Have to strengthen my knee somehow...and maybe I'll wear a neck brace next time ;)
